Source: Rams unlikely to have coup vs. Raiders
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp, listed as questionable with an ankle injury, is unlikely to play Sunday night against the Las Vegas Raiders, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Saturday night.
The Rams, however, still want Kupp to practice before the game so his playing status doesn't change. The Super Bowl LVI Most Valuable Player has not played since spraining his ankle in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals.
Wide receiver Jordan Whittington, meanwhile, is expected to play after being listed as questionable for Sunday with a shoulder injury, a source told Schefter.
Kupp returned to practice in a limited capacity this week after a bye in Los Angeles. He had 18 receptions in the Rams' first two games despite injuring his ankle during their blowout loss at Arizona.
Kupp has played in just 23 of the Rams' 39 games since the 2021-22 season, when he won the receiving triple crown by leading the NFL in catches, receiving yards and touchdown catches. He then starred in the postseason, winning the MVP award in the Rams' win over Cincinnati.
