Travis Hunter injury: Colorado star sprains shoulder vs. Arizona, misses second straight game
Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter left Saturday's game at Arizona with a shoulder injury and will not return. Hunter suffered the injury last week against Kansas State.
According to the Fox broadcast, the decision to pull Hunter was precautionary given that the Buffaloes had taken a 28-7 lead into halftime. Returned to the sidelines in street clothes. Hunter caught two passes for 17 yards and added a tackle at cornerback against Arizona.
Hunter running back Ashton Genty is fighting for his spot in the Heisman Trophy race against Boise State. He's played an absurd number of snaps on both sides of the ball, but a shoulder problem has forced him to miss much of the second half of his last two games.
Coming into the week, Hunter had 49 catches for 587 yards and six touchdowns. He also has two interceptions, plus a game-winning forced fumble (vs. Baylor).
